Meet the staff – Christy Freeze

Next up in our meet the staff series is Veterinary Assistant, Christy Freeze!  Christy provides excellent patient care for dogs and cats that receive spay/neuter services in our clinic.  Christy is originally from Manchester, TN and moved to Nashville in 2002 after attending Middle Tennessee State University.  She lives with her dogs Lucy June and Lil Jimmy (pictured) and cats Mia, Myles, Sullivan and Izabelle who are all rescues.  Christy got her start in animal welfare very young, she recounts,  “I was always saving bugs and crayfish and such from certain death!  My father was a fireman and always brought home injured wildlife and my mother was always finding homes for stray animals that ended up at our house.”   Christy also explains why she choose to work at a spay/neuter clinic,  “because I feel the work that we do makes a huge impact on the community.  From lowering the intake at animal control, to controlling the population of feral or free roaming cats, to helping educate people on the importance of spay/neuter to control pet over population and increase the overall wellness of their pets.”
