Pet Community Center is a nonprofit working to end pet homelessness and keep pets happy, healthy and with their families through accessible spay/neuter and preventive veterinary care. We believe that all people love their pets and will do what’s best for them when given the opportunity.
We are looking for a compassionate individual who shares that belief and is motivated by serving underserved people and their pets.
Who we need:
Pet Community Center is seeking an experienced fundraising professional for the position of Director of Development and Communications. Candidates should have 3-5 years of nonprofit development experience. Major gifts experience is preferred.
The Director of Development and Communications will lead the planning and implementation of the annual fundraising plan and will oversee communications activities.
Primary responsibilities include:
+ Grow the major gifts from $120,000 to $200,000 in the short term, and create a 3-year plan to build a robust major giving program.
+ Oversee annual fundraising plan ($600,000, including major gifts, in 2018) and create a 3-year growth plan.
+ Under the leadership of the CEO and board of directors, support an 18-month capital campaign.
+ Develop a planned giving program to launch in 2019.
+ Support and guide the board of directors and the fundraising and marketing sub-committees in fundraising and marketing activities.
+ Share grant writing responsibility.
+ Supervise and support the Development Manager, who is responsible for events, database, online giving, direct mail and volunteers.
