$10 Microchip Clinic: Sunday, April 26

Back by popular demand our monthly microchip clinic is Sunday, April 26, 2015 from 1-4 PM.  No appointment needed – just walk in.  We usually have a lot of pets in line, so it may take up to 30 minutes to be seen, but the procedure takes less than 1 minute per pet.

Please leave your pet in the car and visit registration first and you’ll be given a number.  We will have you bring your pet inside when it is their turn (in the order of arrival).  This will decrease stress on your pet and ensure that all pets have a good experience!

Help your pet find their way home if he ever gets lost!  Microchipping is a safe, permanent way to identify your pet.  A small microchip the size of a grain of rice is inserted between your pet’s shoulder blades.  Veterinary clinics and animal shelters with microchip scanners can scan lost pets and help reunite them with their family.  When scanned the microchip provides the contact information of the owner so they can be contacted immediately.

Pet Community Center offers $10 microchips through Found Animals.  Found Animals offers free lifetime registration and an easy-to-use, online portal where you can upload a photo of your pet, and medical information.  If you ever transfer ownership of your pet, it’s easy to transfer the registration.

If your lost pet is found and scanned, you will be notified by phone, text and email.  You can also set up alerts to go to your veterinarian or secondary contacts.

Your pet will be automatically registered at the time they receive their chip at our clinic.  There are no annual membership fees.  It is important to keep your registration up-to-date if you move or if your phone number changes.

At our monthly microchip clinic, you can also bring any pets who have been previously microchipped and we will check their chip for free.  Found Animals offers free registration of any brand of chip, and we can automatically register your previously chipped pet at no charge.
